Activities included craft vendors, old-fashioned apple butter, concession stand, historic house tours, entertainment, old time crafts demonstrations, and children’s crafts.  Free parking and free admission. Vendors were located in the Heritage Barn, in a tent, and outside. Heritage Reserve Park at Silver Springs Park, 5120 Young Road, Stow, Ohio 44224.

Gene Kaczarmski played  the buttonbox accordion Saturday morning in the Heritage Barn. Four piece band, Sona, playing traditional Celtic and American folk tunes  returned on Sunday for their third appearance at the Festival. Millie Chrin demonstrated weaving on an antique loom in the Minnie Darrow House, woodcarvers demonstrated in the Heritage Barn, and chair caners demonstrated in the big tent. City of Stow Parks and Recreation Department donated 150 pumpkins to be painted.  Also returning this year were the blacksmith and farm animals from the Hutch Bunch 4-H Club. Many thanks go to the participating craft vendors and to the many volunteers who helped make this year’s festival a success. Special appreciation goes to the Houston Morgan family, who again supervised the stirring of the apple butter. Also thank you to the wonderful high school volunteers who moved mulch, helped with vendor set-up, packaged apple butter and just generally did a fantastic job!

A very special feature of this year’s festival was the renovation of Stewart School, also known as the Old Schoolhouse. Due to the community’s generosity and the dedication and hard work of volunteers, the last one-room schoolhouse in Stow was moved to the park grounds in October 2013. Visitors to the Festival had a chance to see the school in its new permanent location. The outside renovation has recently been completed with siding, windows, and doors.
